London HAUC Expo 2006
'Partnership in Action'

LHAUC Expo 2006

"I thought the whole day was excellent and very well organised. It was a superb chance to hear what is going on and very encouraging that so much is going on. Congratulations."

Jo Parker, Watershed Associates

London HAUC Expo was a unique opportunity to experience how others are changing their operations in response to the Traffic Management Act, to improve the streets of London for all those who work, live and visit the capital.

Thank you to all street works organisations who participated in London HAUC Expo 2006

Over 40 organisations shared the good practice that they have developed with other professionals in London via workshops, online demonstrations and exhibition stands. You can now view a complete list of participants. The powerpoint files of the event's workshops and presentations are also available.

"It was useful for us to meet with other Boroughs and utilities at the Expo, it was a great way of breaking down communications boundaries and allowing us to share ideas."

Dalbir Virdee, London Borough of Islington

Thank you to over 450 street works professionals who visited London HAUC Expo 2006

Expo was time well spent for anyone with a professional interest in London, its land use and the workings of its roads and services. It was an ideal opportunity for networking and discussion of the key issues that must be tackled in response to the Traffic Management Act.

"The LHAUC Expo was an opportunity for a large and diverse bunch of people from the street works community to come together and interact. The central location allowed a lot of local highways and utilities groups to send attendees along throughout the day."

Stephen Leeks, EDF Energy plc

Thank you to our sponsors for their support and generocity

"LHAUC Expo has only been possible as a result of a lot of work by a lot of people - hopefully to the benefit of a lot of others. I would like personally to say thank you to those who shouldered the load that came with a place on the Organising Group, and more formally to acknowledge the support of EDF Energy plc, F.M. Conway Ltd, First Intervention Ltd, Matchtech Group plc, National Grid, Thames Water Utilities and Transport for London."

Louise Nagle, Chair, London HAUC Expo 2006

The London HAUC Expo is led by the London branch of the Highways Authorities and Utilities Committee, endorsed by the National Joint Utilities Group and Association of London Government, and supported by Transport for London.
